It was good to meet you last night. It seems I had my candidates confused, so I appoligize in misspeaking about Huckabee. He has a history of being a firm pro-life person. I'd like to chalk my mistake up to being tired as I had just returned from an out of town trip. Rereading my notes today, the only major problem that I have with Huckabee is his stance on immigration and tax increases. If you are going to vote in the Republican primary, you sure could do worse than Huckabee. Anyway, I hope this clears things up from our conversation at the blogger bash.

On the way to work this morning NPR had a nice story on Mike. An increase in poll numbers and a big increase in cash are making Mike look like more of a player. To bad NPR is still claiming he is more of a VP choice who is not ready for prime time.

For me the Beck / Fox interview sounded great. I was thinking I would have to sit out of this election as all the other players seem lackluster at best. Mike is a solid choice and I too am sending my first ever gift of cash in hope that he can turn it into a solid run at the white house.

Thanks for the heads up!

Although I am a staunch Dem, Huckabee is certainly one Republican I like. I have told many people I think while Huckabee is a dark horse right now, people need to keep an eye on him because I think his race is far from over.

But what really baffles me is how little traction he appears to have with his own party right now. I have seen this guy on Bill Maher's Real Time several times and every time he has been on he is warm, charming and refuses to sling mud and negatives at others, including those in the opposing party.

If he gets the chance to break out, I think more Americans will also see he might be one of the few that has a chance to bring this country back together a bit more.
